The mini-implant, temporary anchorage devices (TADS), are now a common method of treatment in Orthodontics with versatility, minimal invasiveness and the relationship between costs and benefits that they offer even today. Skeletal anchorage has, to a large degree, replaced conventional anchorage in situations where anchorage is considered either critical, insufficient, or likely to result in undesirable side effects such as vertical displacements generated by inter-maxillary force systems.

TAD Appliances are placed directly into the jaw bone then teeth are pulled towards the TAD via elastic or spring Traction.

Advantages of TADs at Louetta Orthodontics:

Enhanced Precision in Tooth Movement: TADs provide a stable anchor point from which teeth can be moved into their correct positions with greater accuracy.

Versatility: Ideal for a wide range of orthodontic challenges, TADs can be used in cases where traditional braces might fall short, offering new solutions for our patients.

Minimally Invasive: The placement of TADs is a quick, minimally invasive procedure that can often be performed with just local anesthesia, ensuring patient comfort.

Faster Treatment Times: By providing efficient and targeted tooth movement, TADs can often reduce the overall duration of orthodontic treatment.
